(Jerrold Ward)
The afternoon session is an interactive workshop in diagnostic pathology led by Dr. Jerrold Ward. It is designed for presentations and discussion of contemporary issues in immunopathology utilizing glass histology slides, virtual slides (SVS format) and brief Powerpoint presentations. Many cases will be provided by the moderator, but we also request submission of cases by attendees (via an email request to the session moderator) for consideration. The presentations will be projected and discussed live, and include the variation in normal histology of tissues in the immune system, tissue reactions to injury, toxicity, inflammation, infectious diseases, neoplasms, and other disease conditions. We encourage active participation as well as submission of individual cases or a brief review of results from experiments to the moderator of the session for consideration. Request submission of your cases by email to Dr. Ward and see if you can "stump the experts"!
