NCERA-180 Site-Specific Management Annual Meeting

Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel & Waterfront Conference Center
January 7-9, 2009

The NCERA-180 annual meeting is scheduled for January 7-9, 2009 in Portsmouth, VA. The annual meeting will start on Wednesday, January 7 with a bus tour of the NASA Langley Research Center and then visit the James River Plantation that is using site-specific management practices. On Thursday the committee will hear presentations on various aspects of the role of site-specific management in improving water quality, mitigating climate change, and improving conservation. On Friday the committee will discuss NCERA180 business and review accomplishments in 2008. The meeting will adjourn by 12:30 p.m. on Friday to allow the participants time to catch an afternoon flight.

Participants can travel to the Norfolk International airport and take a taxi to the hotel. A registration fee of $125/person will be collected to defray costs of the meeting, refreshments and equipment rental costs. An additional charge of $50/person is required for those attending the tour on Wednesday. Written state summaries are requested from each PI prior to the meeting covering state activities for the past year. Registration

Registration Fee: $125 USD per person - includes Thursday lunch, breakfast on Friday & breaks on both days.

NASA Tour: $50 USD per person - The NASA Research Facilities at Langley, VA includes the aeronautics research center, space robotics, climate oberservation missions and tour of James River Planation - Agriculture then and now.
